Kit and myself were the usual insane ones who decided to cycle to the tour from Cambridge - about 70 miles into the centre of Norwich for a swim, and another ten or so to the tour. We stayed in Buxton (no, not the one in Derbyshire) village hall, which was spacious and confortable to relax in after a hard days ringing and cycling. A noticably high proportion of people did cycle this year, including the social secretaries to the surprise of everyone, including themselves.
Can't remember much about the ringing as such, it was generally of a good quality throughout the tour, Cambridge Royal was rung at Aylsham, and 8 spliced major was attempted at one point.
The weather was superb for the tour, great for cycling in, and the swimming pool at a nearby hotel was most welcome in the evenings.
The week finished off with a barbeque at the hall on the saturday night, and everyone seemed most surprised that I didn't burn the food, especially considering the amount of wine I'd had by this point.
